Welcome to the
Rhododendron Society of Canada,
Niagara Region.

Rhododendron Society of Canada, Niagara Region.
Beautiful! The Niagara Region, Rhododendron Society of Canada, is affiliated with the American Rhododendron Society (ARS) and, together with the Atlantic and Toronto Regions of the Rhododendron Society of Canada, comprises District 12 of the ARS.

We provide access to a network of like minded individuals; novices, experienced growers and hybridizers, who wish to share their experiences in growing rhododendrons and azaleas.

Newly Updated! April 14, 2008

This web site describes activities of a group of enthusiasts who grow Azaleas and Rhododendrons in the golden horseshoe of southern Ontario. Our membership includes growers in various Canadian regions and abroad.

Periodic meetings allow members: (a) to share experiences in growing rhododendrons and azaleas, (b) opportunities to have questions answered, (c) to hear speakers who address a variety of specialized issues, and (d) to receive current information on principles and practices related to the genus Rhododendron. Also, we feature tours of private gardens and make available a large selection of not readily available hardy rhododendrons, azaleas and companion plants at special member prices. An annual seed and cutting exchange allows members to experiment with new varieties and to acquire otherwise difficult to obtain species and varieties. We also provide reliable advice on how to grow rhododendrons and azaleas under your unique conditions and, we organize an annual competitive truss show.
