Nettle Creek Nursery is located in Fonthill Ontario Canada and is owned and operated by Marion and Mike Little. The Nursery is situated in the St. John's Valley, 20 minutes from Niagara Falls and is surrounded by the remnants of the Carolinian Forest. The three and one-half acre site was originally a market garden and has been redeveloped by Marion and Mike over the past 23 years. The Littles, with their daughter Pam, have planted out many unique cultivars of rhododendrons, azaleas and trees, such as Stewartia, suited to the Carolinian environment. Also, Mike is using a new technique, with remarkable success, in rooting cuttings using specially designed plastic mesh bags which allow roots to develop, unencumbered, thus avoiding pot bound plants.
